sad news indeed.

lead vocalist of linken park, chester bennington, took his own life a few days ago.

he was 41

really sad news.

recently I discovered that last month his son had written a note to him to love life, love every moment.

I don't know if their are any linken park fans on here, but I think it's very sad indeed

Can't call myself a fan, but they were very talented and I enjoyed some of their music. Very unfortunate. There are so many people seaking fame and fortune, wanting to be in movies or music. And yet it seems like so many of those have lives which are far from ideal. Then again, could be we just hear about more of those considering their societal standing. Still sad in any case.

I'm definitely a fan of their music; there was no voice like Chester Bennington's. Very sad indeed.

This incident reminds me that the media is full of vultures. I knew it before that, of course, but this just brought it home. Within fifteen hours of my learning of Bennington's death, I had already seen two friends share two different links, both of which suggested that his death might be a homicide. Neither source was particularly reputable, and I haven't heard anything since...but jesus, the man just died. Why does this have to be made public knowledge? I'm not saying it's impossible that foul play was involved, but does the media really have nothing better to do?

I've been pretty low a few times in my life, and haven't ever really considered suicide. It's something I honestly can't wrap my head around, which in some ways makes me all the more shocked when I see that someone else has gone and done it. Poor guy. It's a shame.

But nothing about the loss of Chris Cornell? Surely Soundgarden were just as important?

His loss got buried under all the sexual misconduct alligations that are all over the news. Rapey douchebags trump everything else. Except Donald Trump, and frankly I'm just waiting for someone to accuse the president of some sexual misconduct. Wouldn't be the first time.
